Most of the bloggers and webmasters out there spend more than 50% of their time in acquiring links by using various methods such as guest posting, web 2.0 websites, article marketing and by using endless methods. Yes of course quality links matters, but do you think this the only or most important factor in determining ranks by search engines?

The answer is no, What do links indicates? It simply indicates the popularity and trustworthiness of a website. What if you create quality content that readers shares, respond and reacts? Obviously this kind of content is interesting for readers and they will be happy with your website. So if visitors are happy, why search engines need to bother about links.

While blogging the strategies that proved to be successful in creating great organic traffic

My Successful Strategies

Social media

Social media presence is important but as a blogger you can't active on social media website. You need to choose the social media website that brings most targeted and quality traffic. Quality of traffic is the most disputed term in the whole internet. Some people says they are the people who makes most purchases while some says they are people who shares the content with there friends in targeted location. For me "Targeted traffic" for this blog is people who subscribe to my newsletter and becomes a regular reader.

Let's come back to our goal, which social media website to concentrate on? I love LinkedIn for this purpose. From my experience, LinkedIn provides the highest quality leads for me. But you should share the content on all major social media websites.

Finding a niche

Sometimes even if you write quality content for long still you won't fetch expected results. Reason behind this is high competition, there may be thousands of people writing on similar topic but there may not be readers available. You will amazed to know, In India most searched keywords on Google are "Sunny Leone" and "IBPS". Now search these terms on Google, you won't find even a single quality website on these topic, most of the websites are run by newbies and that too spamming and providing wrong information. They are weak competitors, its really easy to fight with them then to fight with "Smashing magazine" by starting a design blog. I wasted many years in doing this, you should not do this. Rather concentrate on niches with weak competitors and huge reader base.

My design blog DesignRapid, com get 200 uniques a day, that's a big fail to me as I put lots of efforts in designing a custom WordPress themes, writing 60+ posts and further writing 10+ guest posts in well known design portals. Got Page Rank 3 and some authority. But this PR is waste for me if I am unable to drive traffic to my website and achieve my goals. You won't believe I started a website as an experiment and its traffic surpassed Designrapid.com in first week and generate more revenues per day than Designrapid.com.

Don't divert from your topic

If you are reading a recipes book, you won't expect a chapter on web hosting. That's the beauty of paid posts and affiliate programs. Bloggers get diverted from topics and start writing on subjects that are not related to their blog. It's good to monetize your blog but it shouldn't cost reader's experience. If you are writing a blog on 'chocolate cup cakes' then you should write about this only. Everybody should have purpose before entering into your blog. Domain authority a metrics developed by SEOmoz says this is one of the most important factor in determining the ranks in Google.

Using local TLD

Google is striving to provide local results to user's queries. If you want to target certain geographical location then there are two methods available for you. First use a local TLD as .in in India and .co.uk in United Kingdom. Secondly set up location in webmaster tools.
Choose a responsive theme
Responsive themes are available for blogger, WordPress and for most of the blogging platforms. Reader's now access internet not only fro their desktops and laptops but also from mobiles and tablets. You will miss the
