Ask yourself, are you really a good blogger?
In long run you can't succeed as a blogger if you don't make a faithful reader base, a group people who loves to read your content. You need to act as a guide. Following unethical practices and providing information that is not reliable won't let you make a reader base. You need to answer yourself following questions before claiming yourself a good blogger.
Using too many ads
Using too many ads on your website ruins the viewers' reading experience. A header ad then an ad below post title then another ad in just above footer and a bunch of ads in the sidebar. Using too much more effects your search engine rankings as well as the readers' experience.
Promoting products that have no value for money
I have seen bloggers promoting some products that doesn't worth promotion, just because those products bring them high revenue, bloggers misguide their readers. A sponsored post after every two articles passes a bad impression to the readers. Viewers get irritated by so many ads and lack of content. It is really important to generate revenue from your blog, but if you are doing so in return of bad readers' experience, then certainly you can't taste success. Just give a look to some pro blogs, these blogs have one or two ads on there homepage, sometime not even one. They use sponsored reviews which comprises of less then 25% of total content. So it is advised not to use too many ads on your blog.
Badly designed blog
I have seen lot of high quality blogs having unique and fantastic but unable to catch much attention because they are badly designed and using some basic blog template. There are lots of free professional and clean WordPress and blogger templates aw available which can make your blog look clean and elegant.
Inactive on social media sites
Bloggers need to be active on social media sites. Blogging can,t be done on an island. You need to make close relationships with related niche bloggers. All your target audience access social media websites daily, so to make good relations with fellow bloggers, readers and advertisers you need to be active o. Social media sites.
Not doing link building
I have seen many pro bloggers to doing guest blog posting in past. Guest posting is the best method to make backlinks. Even big bloggers write guest articles for magazines and newspapers. Doing guest posting brings backlinks, traffic and recognition to your blog.
Are you writing for search engines
Most of the bloggers keep those silly seo tips in mind before and during writing a post. Keep one thing in mind, you are writing for your readers not for search engines. It's really good if you keep in mind to give heading tags, writing unique meta description and keeping in mind the keyword. But over emphasis on the keyword density, keywords tools, traffic estimates for keywords, competition for a keyword etc distracts you from writing valuable content that you can write with high interest and expertise.
Hope the above tactics will help you become a good blogger :)
